All Year 13 students in the college complete an IT Key Skill unit at either Level 2 or Level 3.
To obtain the qualification a suitable portfolio of work must be completed and an external examination passed.
IT Key Skill Level 2
Portfolio
Consists of two tasks:
1 An investigation into 3rd level courses
2 A Powerpoint presentation
In addition to completing each task a word processed report of each task is required.
The students are given help to complete the tasks through the use of prepared templates into which students input their own work.
Examination
Written paper (1 hour) consisting of forty Sample Paper 
short multiple choice questions
