LEARNING FOR LIFE AND WORK
Students sit their Citizenship module in June of Year 11. Their remaining modules will be completed in Year 12. When they receive their Citizenship results it will be a mark out of 30. If students wish to retake their Citizenship module, they should discuss it with their teacher on their return to school in September. The module can be retaken in June of Year 12.
MATHS
Ordinary Maths students take one Maths exam in the summer of Year 11. The remaining modules are taken at the end of Year 12.
Additional Maths students complete their GCSE Maths at the end of Year 11. Their grade, however, will not be cashed in until the end of Year 12.Their results slip therefore will only report their mark in each of the modules taken. For details of how to convert the total mark into a grade click on the link below.
If any student wishes to retake a Maths module, they should discuss it with their teacher on their return to school in September.
REMARK
You can ask for your paper to be remarked or simply request a copy. Both services incur a cost. Download the form from the link below. The deadlines for these services are final and must be adhered to!!
FEES
Students should note that the College pays the fees the first time they sit their exams. If a student fails to turn up for an exam, the College will still be expected to pay for that exam. It is important therefore that candidates inform the school if they are unable to sit an exam. Students will be asked to provide medical evidence to explain their absence. If a doctor’s letter is not provided, the student will be required to pay the exam fee.
