A2 candidates have the
opportunity to sit their first exam in the January of Year 14. They will be
entered by their teacher and students should receive an individual timetable
for their January Exams before the Halloween break.
Students will also have an opportunity to repeat some AS exams in
January. This is a useful way to improve A2 grades but students should be wary
of taking on too much. Their first priority should be preparing for A2 exams in

The earlier you can let us have this information the better. If you withdraw
from an exam early enough
you may even get your money back!!
Students should note that withdrawing from an exam on the day will incur
an additional charge that
they will be expected to pay!!
A2 students sit their final set of exams in the summer of Year 14.
Each individual will be sitting a varied combination of A2 exams and AS re-sits.
No two students in a class will be the same. It is vital, therefore that
all A-Level students examine their individual statements of entry and
timetables. If they have any questions about their entries they should speak to
Ms Todd in the Examinations office. Correcting errors after the published
deadline, usually costs money!
When candidates receive their
timetable some individuals may find that two of their exams are scheduled to
start at exactly the same time. This is unfortunate but unless the total for
the two exams goes over three hours they will simply sit the exams one after

means the candidate will sit one exam in the morning, followed by a period of
isolation. The candidate will be able to have lunch and study for their
afternoon exam but they will be supervised throughout. STUDENTS SHOULD BE AWARE
THAT NO MOBILE PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE ALLOWED DURING THE PERIOD OF
It is important that the
candidate discusses the arrangements for isolation with Ms Todd in advance of
Results of January exams will
be distributed to pupils, in the College, on 6th March 2014.
Results for summer modules will
be posted out and should arrive on Thursday 14th August
2014. Students will also be able to collect their results from school
after 10am on that day. Results will not be given over the telephone or
sent via email.

AT NO TIME DURING THE EXAMS SHOULD STUDENTS HAVE A MOBILE PHONE OR
ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH THEM IN THE HALL. EVEN IF SWITCHED OFF.
POSSESSION OF UNAUTHORISED ITEMS COULD RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE
CURRENT EXAM AND OVERALL QUALIFICATION.
ALL EXAMS UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED ARE TO BE COMPLETED IN BLACK
INK. USE OF GEL PENS IS PROHIBITTED.
