A2 candidates have the opportunity to sit their first exam in the January of Year 14. They will be entered by their teacher and students should receive an individual timetable for their January Exams before the Halloween break.
JANUARY RE-SITS
Students will also have an opportunity to repeat some AS exams in January. This is a useful way to improve A2 grades but students should be wary of taking on too much. Their first priority should be preparing for A2 exams in January.

TIMING of RE-SIT Exams
There are differences in the timing of re-sits between the exam boards. In subjects using EDEXCEL (Drama and Maths) OCR, (PE and Computing) and AQA (Sociology) the exam will begin at 9.30am or 1.30pm regardless of which module you are sitting.
CCEA RESITS ARE DIFFERENT
If you are sitting a module one exam it will begin at 9.30am or 1.30pm. A module 2 exam will only begin when the first exam has been completed. For example;
AS Business Studies Module 1 begins at 9.30am. AS Business Studies Module 2 begins at 10.30pm
If you are re-sitting module 1 you enter the hall at 9.30am.
If you are re-sitting module 2 ONLY you will enter the hall at 10.20am am.
WITHDRAWAL from RESITS
If you decide that you no longer wish to sit a particular exam LET US KNOW.
The earlier you can let us have this information the better. If you withdraw from an exam early enough you may even get your money back!!
Students should note that withdrawing from an exam on the day will incur an additional charge that they will be expected to pay!!
RESULTS JANUARY
Results for the January exams will be available in school on Thursday 8th March 2012.
If students have not done as well as they expected they will have a further opportunity to re-sit exams in June 2010
The deadline for applying for a June re-sit is Friday 16th March 2012.

REMARK
You can ask for your paper to be remarked or simply request a copy. Both services incur a cost. Download the form from the link below. The deadlines for these services are final and must be adhered to!!
JUNE EXAMS
A2 students sit their final set of exams in the summer of Year 14. Each individual will be sitting a varied combination of A2 exams and AS re-sits. No two students in a class will be the same.
It is vital, therefore that all A-Level students examine their individual statements of entry and timetables
If they have any questions about their entries they should come and see Ms Todd in the Examinations office. Correcting errors after the published deadline, usually costs money!!!
RESULTS June
Results will be posted out and should arrive on Thursday 16th August, 2012. Students may also collect their results from school after 11am on that day. Careers Staff and the Exams Office will be available to assist you.
