Key Stage 3

All students study a broad and balanced curriculum in Years 8, 9 and 10.

Year 8 Curriculum

Year 8 students study all of the subjects below:

Year 8 Student Mentor Programme

Year 13 students are assigned to each Year 8 tutor group, in groups of four. For the duration of the programme they will meet with their class once a week/fortnight to explore various themes, e.g. smoking, alcohol, drugs, bullying, prejudice, friendship, the environment, talents and relationships. Music, art, drama, poetry and story are used as media for exploring the chosen theme.

Education for Love (EFL)

EFL is taught in one module and each tutor group is divided into two for this subject. Thus, in quite a small group, pupils will be able to discuss and examine the topics which are covered. This subject deals with boys and girls growing up, physically and emotionally, all aspects of family life, love, conception and birth.
