Student Loans Company (SLC) has informed us that EMA application numbers for Academic Year 20/21 are down significantly in comparison with last year’s numbers.
There is concern that pupils have not been able to access application forms, and that when they return in September the SLC will be faced with a huge backlog, and that support may be delayed as a result.
It is important therefore that you encourage pupils to return these to the SLC as soon as possible, to ensure that support can be made available from the beginning of the new academic year, or as soon as possible thereafter.
